While many people believe Africa isn’t listed much in the Bible, you may be surprised to learn that the once influential, wise, and wealthy king dated an African Queen.
Malikat Saba, Queen of Sheba, once paid a visit to King Solomon and presented him with spices, precious stones, and gold. She also learned about his extraordinary wisdom and asked him challenging questions, which he intelligently replied to her satisfaction.
The kingdom of Sheba was african kingdom which was located in the East Africa and is present day Ethiopia.
After spending a few years with her, King Solomon granted her all of her heart’s desires, as recorded in the Bible.
The land of Sheba was a filthy rich nation where the dust was much more valuable than gold, which is why the gracious Solomon welcomed her to his home.
According to legend, King Solomon duped her into allowing him to have his way with her, resulting in the birth of a son named Menelik II, who later took over the throne after his mother died.
