Suspects behind the recent tragic fire incident at Utumishi Girls Academy have broken their silence and disclosed the reasons why the resorted to start the fire at the dormitory which ended up claiming lives of their colleagues and injuring a number of the students.
According to reports seven students are being held as suspects behind the shocking fire incident. The suspects regretted that they had no intentions of burning their colleagues but that they were just protesting.
The suspects revealed the reasons that led them to start the fire and according to them one of the reasons is they were protesting after the School Administration changed exams dates.
Another reason as revealed by reports was the students were unhappy after the School Administration planned Cultural Day and told students to cater for the event. The students instead wanted the School Administration to pay for the event. The third reason is the suspected students confessed that they wanted to protest like their neighbouring school.
Authorities investigating the incident also found out that the suspects planned it at 9PM before the plan was executed at 12:10 at midnight. The suspects used kerosene to start the fire something which has made investigators to seek to find out the possible involvement of non-students.
