A grieving father is demanding answers after his son, a young corps member, was killed in a shocking incident that has left many Nigerians outraged.

The tragedy happened in Dei-Dei, Abuja—and the story behind it is deeply disturbing.

According to the Nigerian Army, the death of Abdulsamad Jamiu, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), was unintentional.

Officials from the Guards Brigade claimed he was caught in crossfire during a gun battle with suspected armed robbers.

“The fleeing suspects opened fire on troops… leading to a brief but intense exchange,” the Army said.
