Nigeria has released details of several foreign nationals wanted for alleged financial crimes, corruption-related offences, and terrorism-linked activities.

Law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies, including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), periodically issue wanted notices as part of ongoing investigations and enforcement efforts.

According to reports, agencies typically declare suspects wanted after they fail to honour invitations, evade investigations, or are believed to have fled to avoid prosecution.

1. EFCC Declares Peiyuan Niu Wanted

In March 2026, the EFCC declared Chinese national Peiyuan Niu wanted over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence.

The anti-graft agency stated that the 40-year-old’s last known address was located on Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Lagos State.

According to the EFCC, Niu is wanted in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged financial crimes.

2. Khalidur Talukder Wanted for Fraud Allegations

In June 2026, the EFCC also declared Khalidur Rahman Mohammad Talukder wanted for alleged offences bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and criminal breach of trust.

The commission stated that Talukder’s last known address was Devonshire House, 1 Mayfair Place, London, United Kingdom.

The EFCC said he is wanted in relation to an ongoing investigation into the allegations.

3. ICPC Declares Zhichao Qiu Wanted

In January 2026, the ICPC declared Chinese national Zhichao Qiu wanted over allegations of money laundering and related offences.

According to the commission, Qiu was appointed as a signatory to the bank account of Fortunetech Limited in July 2024 and repeatedly failed to honour invitations extended to him during the course of an investigation.

The ICPC said it is seeking his whereabouts in connection with ongoing inquiries into alleged corruption and financial crimes.

4. Police Declare Ahmad Adam Abba Wanted

The Nigeria Police Force previously declared Ahmad Adam Abba, a Chadian national, wanted over alleged terrorism-related activities.

Security agencies described him as a suspected terrorist mastermind who allegedly fled from Chad and was reportedly attempting to establish a terror network in Kano State.

The police announced his wanted status following intelligence reports and subsequent security operations.

Ongoing Efforts Against Financial Crimes

Nigerian authorities continue to intensify efforts against corruption, financial fraud, money laundering, and security threats by pursuing suspects both within and outside the country.

The publication of wanted notices remains one of the measures used by law enforcement agencies to seek public assistance in locating individuals under investigation.
