In the residential area of Urker district “Nura” in Astana, a major environmental action took place within the framework of the republican program “Taza Kazakhstan”. The event was attended by children, young people, as well as representatives of the Council of Veterans and the Center for Active Longevity. More than 80 active residents of the district went to plant trees, thereby contributing to the landscaping and improvement of the capital, Africaglobaltimes.com reports.
Large-scale landscaping in Urqueré
The action on landscaping took place at school No. 94 in the residential area of Urquer. According to the deputy akim of the district, Alia Absemetova, about 80 people participated in the event. Among them were not only active residents, but also representatives of the older generation, who expressed a desire to participate in the environmental initiative.
“They came themselves, said that they want to support the action, and we organized all the conditions – planting material, tools, music and treats, so that people work with the mood,” said Alia Absetemetova.
As a result of the action, more than 400 trees were planted, including apple trees, pears, willows and other deciduous breeds. Over the past two or three weeks, more than 2 200 trees have already been planted in the Urker area, and by the end of the year it is planned to increase this figure to 8 000.
Grew up seedlings for sustainable growth
A feature of the action was the use of grown seedlings, whose age is 12-15 years. These trees are already adapted to the climatic conditions of the capital, which increases the likelihood of their successful growth and rooting.
Before starting work with the participants, arguing was given on the proper planting of trees. Residents were explained the importance of observing the depth of planting and careful attitude to the root system. After the event, experts will check the quality of the work performed and, if necessary, adjust the landings.

The action was held in a warm and informal atmosphere. For the participants, musical accompaniment, hot tea and treats were organized, which created a special atmosphere of community and mutual understanding. Aitmagambet Aipov, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Nura District, said: “We built this city, saw it growing, and it is important that it becomes even greener and cozy. This is our contribution to the future.”

Involvement of youth and older generation
Representatives of the vocal ensemble “Atameken” of the Center for Active Longevity of the Nura district also took an active part in the action. The head of the ensemble, Zhanat Borankulova, shared:
“We enjoyed planting 6 trees, combining useful with a pleasant one. It is important to participate in such events, because it is our duty to make the city beautiful and green.”

The organizers emphasize that the main goal of the action is not only planting trees, but also the formation of a responsible attitude towards the environment in the citizens.
