According to a report by The Sun on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, former National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ralph Nwosu, has dismissed reports suggesting that the party is facing internal divisions or factional crises.

Speaking during an interview on Arise News, Nwosu stated that the ADC remains united, organized, and committed to strengthening its political structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to him, claims about parallel leadership structures and internal disagreements are politically motivated attempts aimed at weakening the growing influence of the party across the country.

Nwosu maintained that the ADC is steadily expanding its presence nationwide and positioning itself as a strong alternative in Nigeria’s political landscape.

He explained that the increasing public attention toward the party reflects growing confidence among Nigerians who are seeking alternative political platforms ahead of the next election cycle.

The former party chairman also highlighted the turnout of supporters at political gatherings organized by the ADC in states such as Lagos State, Ogun State, Anambra State, and Sokoto State.

According to him, the large gatherings demonstrate expanding grassroots support and increasing visibility for the party across different regions of the country.

Nwosu stressed that the ADC remains focused on consolidating its internal structures and building momentum ahead of the 2027 elections. He added that the party’s activities and engagements across various states show that it is actively working to strengthen its relevance within Nigeria’s evolving political environment.

“We had massive crowds across Nigeria. Nigerians are already showing where the direction of the 2027 election is heading,” he stated.

His remarks come amid increasing political activities and realignments among opposition parties as preparations gradually intensify ahead of the next general elections in Nigeria.
