Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin, a fourth-term member of the House of Representatives, has confidently brushed aside the electoral capacity of major opposition coalitions ahead of the next national polls. The lawmaker declared that the current ruling party maintains an unassailable advantage, making any attempts to unseat the incumbent administration an exercise in futility.
According to a video posted on the Official YouTube channel of Arise News on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, while breaking down the strategic failures of rival political platforms and anticipated alliances, he stated, “you cannot defeat President Tinubu in an election where you have a divided opposition,” referring to the political adversaries.
The veteran politician explained that defeating a sitting government demands an airtight, unified front, which today’s political adversaries completely lack. He pointed out that previous historic mergers succeeded solely due to absolute organizational cohesion, an element that remains visibly absent among the current fragmented groups aiming for the presidency.
Responding to criticisms regarding economic challenges and shifting regional support, the legislator argued that deep-seated political structures would ultimately determine the final outcome. He stated that extensive grassroots networks and ongoing internal party dispute resolutions would successfully secure the necessary vote margins across vital regions before election day.
In his concluding remarks, Jibrin asserted that the upcoming federal elections would prove to be a much easier triumph for the ruling establishment than their previous outing. He advised party stakeholders to remain focused on mobilization, confident that the divided state of rival factions ensures total victory for the administration.
