Femi Aniyi has shared a personal account of a major turning point in his life, revealing how he once won a visa lottery that would have given him the opportunity to relocate abroad but ultimately chose a different path after receiving guidance from his pastor.

According to a recent video published by Agbaletu TV on Monday, June 8, 2026, Aniyi recounted the experience while discussing various aspects of his upbringing, personal struggles, and journey toward self-discovery.

During the conversation, he reflected on his early years, explaining that he was raised in a military environment that played a significant role in shaping his character. He noted that growing up in military barracks exposed him to a culture of discipline, order, and responsibility from a young age.

Aniyi said he attended institutions such as Command Children’s School and later the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Nursery and Primary School. According to him, the structured environment of these schools helped instill values that influenced both his academic pursuits and personal conduct.

He also spoke openly about challenges within his family, revealing that certain experiences during his childhood affected him emotionally. As a result, he became more reserved and devoted much of his attention to his studies rather than social activities.

According to Aniyi, the emotional difficulties he faced eventually reached a point where he decided to leave home at the age of 16. He described the period as one of the most difficult chapters of his life, marked by personal struggles and uncertainty.

Despite those experiences, he explained that time and reflection enabled him to mend relationships with his parents. He emphasized that forgiveness played a crucial role in his healing process and helped him move beyond the pain of the past.

While reflecting on opportunities that came his way, Aniyi recounted how he won a visa lottery but was advised by his pastor to remain in Nigeria rather than travel abroad.

His Words: “ I won a visa lottery to travel abroad. When I told my pastor about it, he advised me not to go. Instead, he said I should come and work for the church.”
