Breaking: Mystery as late governor’s brother dies following remembrance prayer
Former Oyo State Governor Senator Abiola Ajimobi’s family has been thrown into fresh mourning after his younger brother, Alhaji Teslim Adeboye Ajimobi, died just hours after a special prayer marking the sixth anniversary of the late governor’s passing.
Teslim Ajimobi reportedly died at a hospital in London on Thursday, the same day family members, political associates, and supporters gathered in Ibadan to remember the late former governor, who died on June 25, 2020.
The sad development has sparked widespread reactions, with many expressing shock over the timing of his death, coming exactly six years after the passing of his elder brother.
The late Teslim Ajimobi was a prominent businessman based in the United Kingdom and a respected politician who served as Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government in 2017.
His death was confirmed by another younger brother of the late governor, Alhaji Wasiu Ajimobi.
The coincidence has reignited discussions over a statement once made by the late Abiola Ajimobi, in which he reportedly said that no member of his family had lived to the age of 70, prompting many Nigerians to react with prayers and condolences for the bereaved family.
