Oyo Abduction: Security Forces, Iru Ekun Intensify Search for Abdvcted Oyo Children in Old Oyo National Park

Security operatives and members of the Iru Ekun security network are currently conducting a coordinated search of the Old Oyo National Park in a bid to rescue the schoolchildren and teachers abducted by Boko Haram terrOr!sts.

The 46 victims, including 39 pupils and seven teachers, were taken from three schools in Oriire Local Government Area on May 15. One teacher was beheaded during the att/ck, and another has since been confirmed kpaed in captivity.

Iru Ekun operatives are working alongside the military and other security agencies to track down the terrOrists and secure the release of the captives. Security forces have reportedly surrounded a hideout within the forest, limiting the terrOr!sts’ ability to move.

A 16-hour curfew has been imposed in 10 local government areas bordering the national park as part of the ongoing operation. Residents are urged to comply.
