In the Bible, a woman was caught committing adultery and dragged publicly before Jesus by religious leaders. Instead of showing mercy, the church elders wanted her stoned to death immediately because the law demanded it.
But here’s the shocking part…
The Bible only mentioned the woman being brought out.
Where was the man she committed the sin with?
Why was only the woman disgraced publicly while the man disappeared?
Then Jesus looked at the religious crowd and said:
“Let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone.”
One by one, everybody dropped their stones and walked away.
Now here’s the question causing serious debate today:
If this same woman entered many churches today, would people pray for her… or secretly judge her, gossip about her, and chase her away?
Some people say the church has become too judgmental.
Others say sin should never be tolerated inside the church.
But another question is:
Why do many Christians expose some sins publicly while hiding others?
A poor girl who gets pregnant outside marriage may be disgraced before the congregation…
But rich members doing secret sins are often protected.
Did Jesus come to condemn sinners or to change them with love?
Be honest:
If you were standing there that day, would you drop your stone… or throw it?
