Nigeria’s ambassador-designate to Mexico, Reno Omokri, has said that President Bola Tinubu remains well-positioned for the 2027 presidential election due to his political stability and experience.
According to a VANGUARD report on Tuesday June 16 2026, Omokri dismissed claims that opposition politicians are better positioned to defeat Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the next general election.
He said Tinubu has maintained a consistent political path since 1989, unlike some opposition figures who have changed political parties several times within a short period.
Omokri maintained that Tinubu’s political experience and consistency give him a significant advantage ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
He added that political stability remains an important factor in determining electoral success and places Tinubu in a strong position as preparations for the 2027 elections continue.
In his words, “How can you say a man who has been in three political parties in six months is going to defeat a president who has been stable politically since 1989?”
