Social media users have taken to their official X account on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 to react to the announcement that Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC has introduced a policy that says anyone who wins a seat and defects will vacate the seat.
Theo Abu Agada, the spokesperson of the Nigeria Democratic Congress shared the announcement on his official X account.
According to the post that surfaced online, the policy will mandate all candidates who are running in an election to sign indemnity and affidavit forms.
According to Theo Abu Agada on his official X account;
“By implication, any NDC candidate that wins election in 2027 and decides to leave the party will forfeit the seat they won”.
