Abayomi Arabambi, Labour Party’s National Vice Chairman for the South-West, has called on the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, to publicly clarify his identity following allegations he raised during a media interview.

In a video shared by News Central TV, Arabambi questioned Obi’s public identity and urged him to address what he described as concerns surrounding the different names associated with the former presidential candidate.

“So Obi has four different names, so I want to challenge him, Mr. Peter, stop complaining that people are after you. Come and declare your identity because I know last year Mr. Peter Obi was detained in London over impersonation.”

Arabambi maintained that his remarks were intended to encourage transparency and insisted that Obi should respond publicly to the issues he raised rather than alleging that he was being unfairly targeted by political opponents.

The Labour Party chieftain said public figures should be prepared to address questions relating to matters that attract public interest, adding that doing so would help clear any doubts and strengthen public confidence in their personal records and political engagements.
