Former Anambra State Governor and NDC presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has reaffirmed his belief that he won a past presidential election in Nigeria, while also calling for improved transparency in the electoral process.

Speaking during an interview on the NevOn Podcast, Obi insisted that despite the absence of official declaration, he remains convinced of his position regarding the outcome.

“In the last election, I won. Forget about the proof that i won.

One day, they will declare me,” he said.

He maintained that his participation in Nigeria’s presidential race is already established and expressed confidence that the full story of the election will eventually be made public.

“I have contested election in Nigeria as a presidential candidate and won,” he stated. “If one was declared, one day the story will be told.”

Obi also reiterated his continued willingness to participate in future elections, emphasizing his commitment to national service.

“For now, I can tell you, I’m offering myself for general election in Nigeria,” he said.

He further expressed hope that Nigeria’s electoral system will become more credible and transparent in the future.

“One day the process will be correct. The process will be transparent and it will happen,” he added.
