NDC: They sent messages to me when I was in prison, they said their party was deregistered—Sowore
In a clip released by TV Platinum on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, Omoyele Sowore, a rights advocate and presidential hopeful representing the African Action Congress (AAC), has shared insights regarding the deregistration of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC).
As the 2027 presidential election approaches, the Federal High Court in Lokoja has declared the registration of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) invalid after the Peace Movement Party (PMP) alleged that the NDC had taken its party emblem.
In the video, Omoyele Sowore, who is a rights activist and a candidate for the African Action Congress (AAC), disclosed that during his time at Kuje prison, he received messages from members of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), who were desperately seeking his assistance following their party’s deregistration.
